Agent Configuration: (free version )
If needed, obtain Free Agent from Forte (make
sure to download FREE Agent, as it is free to use. If you need yEnc support, then you must
use the paid version).
- Install
into the directory of your choice ( i.e. C:/program files/agent/ ).
- Create a directory for the
decoded attachments to go to.
( i.e. C:/Download/ ).
- Start Free Agent .
- Select from the Options
menu General Preferences.
- Configure your User Information
profiles.
- Select the User tab.
- Complete all fields with the
appropriate information.
- Check Server Requires
Authorization Login.
- Enter your News Username
(subscription ID#).
- Check Remember Password
Between Sessions.
- Enter your News Password.
- Configure your NNTP News server
address and SMTP E-Mail Host.
- Select the System tab.
- In the space for News server
enter: usa.uncensorednewsfeed.com or one of our other server names. (This can be
changed anytime)
- In the space for Mail server
enter the name of your services mail server. (For example: mail.yourserver.com) If
you do not have this information, this field can be left blank; it is needed only for
e-mailing replies directly to the sender of a posting.
- Click OK.
- Refresh your groups list.
- From the Online menu
select Refresh Groups List.
- Select Delete All Extinct
Groups.
- Click OK.
This process may take some
time depending upon the speed of your connection.
- Subscribe to frequently viewed
groups.
- Select desired group.
- From the Group menu
select Subscribe.
The subscribe group will show
a newspaper icon if subscribed to.
- Repeat this procedure for all
desired groups.
- To show only the subscribed
groups:
- From the Group menu select Show
then select Subscribed Groups.
- From the Online menu
select Get New Headers in Selected Groups
