| Visit the GrabIt
newsreader homepage to download the latest version of the client. Adding a Usenet News Account:
The first time you open GrabIt the configuration wizard appears.
- Enter the server address (ie. usa.uncensorednewsfeed.com) into the News (NNTP) server
field, check the box and click Next.
Enter the login information you used in the signup into the
Username and Password fields and click Next.
Once GrabIt opens you can define the rest of the server
setup. To do so right click Default server and then click Server properties:
The server properties screen includes everything you need
to get up and running. Simply enter the information as follows:
- Hostname: (ie. usa.uncensorednewsfeed.com)
- Port: 119
- Account name and Password: used for subscribing
- Check "Encrypted server connection (SSL)" for secure access.
- Max Connections: up to 50 depending on account.
- Note: maximize GrabIt download speed by using all your connections.
- click OK
